Artwork Registration:

All entries will be registered online via entrythingy.com. Please do not create more than one entry on entrythingy.com. If your pieces are from different categories, choose one and we will adjust the other prior to the show. Email artists@duxburyart.org if you need any assistance.

Artists may enter one or two pieces of original artwork with a flat entry fee of $10. This fee has been reduced from previous years as a “thank you” to our members.  Artwork must be family friendly (no nudity please). Our Bengtz and Cutler galleries are housed within the South Shore Conservatory for Music. All artwork entered will be shown.

All pieces will also be shown in the virtual gallery on our website, www.duxburyart.org.

The DAA will retain 25% sales commission. Sold artwork will be released to the buyer immediately and the artist will be given the opportunity to replace the sold work with another similar sized work.

Entered work may not have been previously exhibited in a DAA show.

All artwork must be labeled on the back with name, address, email, cell, and title of work prior to drop-off.

Artwork is not required to be for sale, but we traditionally sell quite a few pieces during this show.

All artwork is expected to hang for the duration of the show, unless it is sold. Replacement with new work is allowed.

This is not a juried show and all registered artwork will be hung. You must be a current member to register. To update your membership please visit https://www.duxburyart.org/membership.

All artwork must be smaller than 30x30, unless pre-approved. Artwork must be gallery ready for hanging with braided wire, securely attached to the frame. Clip-on frames or saw tooth hangers are NOT allowed. Gallery wrapped canvases do not require frames. Inappropriately framed items will not be accepted.

We do have a limited number of pedestals available for sculptures.

What is my fee used for?

Duxbury Art Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and publicly-funded charitable organization operated by artists and art appreciators, for artists, with no reserve or endowment. All proceeds from entry fees fund project-related expenses. Not unlike paying a fee to enter a marathon race, this democratically enables our organization's projects to happen. For over a century Duxbury Art Association has earned a reputation for producing quality exhibits, and benefiting the artists involved, and the public, on its meager budget. Our board of trustees and small dedicated staff of volunteers work hard to make involvement with DAA projects well worth the effort and cost to do so.

Simply by participating in a DAA project or becoming a member you are helping this grass-roots organization do its work and achieve its mission.
