How to Participate?

1. Purchase a blank skateboard deck.
Blank decks can be purchased at:
-Luminate Surf & Skate - 1871 Ocean St. Marshfield, MA
-The Duxbury Art Association - 64 Saint George St. Duxbury, MA

2. Paint & decorate your skateboard deck. We encourage you to be creative, but please keep in mind that we can not accept any artwork containing explicit imagery.

3. Register your artwork by Friday, August 5th at 4pm. You can register as early as Tuesday, July 26th at 10am at The Ellison Center for the Arts: 64 Saint George St. Duxbury, MA. There's a $10 registration fee per piece.

4. Come to the Skateboard Art Challenge Opening Event!
Thursday, August 11 from 6pm – 8pm….light refreshments will be served. The event is free & open to all…groms and grown ups included….
Your skateboard will be exhibited in the Duxbury Art Association's gallery, play games for prizes and giveaways, visit the booths of local skate shops.

Back again this year! Bern's Helmet Design Contest. Decorate a Bern helmet and submit with your skateboard deck! Pick up your blank helmet at the DAA for $20 – includes registration fee!

Come to the DAA and paint your skateboard deck for this year's Skateboard Art Challenge! After painting your skateboard masterpiece you will have the opportunity to enter your artwork in our gallery show if you choose! All materials: a blank skateboard deck, art supplies and artwork registration fee for the Skateboard Art Challenge will be included. This year's Skateboard Art Challenge Gallery Opening is Thursday, August 11 from 6pm – 8pm. A $60 value.
