The Duxbury Art Association’s Wet Paint Day & Silent Auction

In conjunction with the
Duxbury Bay Maritime School’s Classic Boat Festival
Duxbury Bay will be afloat with classic boats including sailboats, working lobster boats & more. The newly expanded Festival will feature boat rides, boat building, oyster shucking, rowing & kayak races, a rain gutter regatta, refreshments, music & lots of boating enthusiasts.
Everyone is invited to capture the local vistas with their paint brush and multiple paintings could be submitted to the silent auction. Artists will drop off the day's artwork for the silent auction at the Duxbury Yacht Club in Snug Harbor, off Washington Street on Saturday. All works on paper must be matted. Framed artwork is not required but was suggested. The DAA reserves the right to select paintings to be featured in the auction. The Silent Auction, showcasing the artwork created during the day, will be held during the Shindig in the Shed which will take place at the Duxbury Yacht Club as the shed had been demolished. The Shindig which is hosted by the Duxbury Bay Maritime School was from 6:30 - 9:30pm and will feature food, live music & a cash bar. Tickets are $35.00 and will be available for purchase at the DBMS office or by calling 781.934.7555. Ticket proceeds supported DBMS.
