To be considered for the exhibition, original two-dimensional artwork containing an image inspired by books or literature must be hand delivered to the Duxbury Art Association Office. Entry is open to all artists. DAA membership is not required. Work must have been completed within the last five years and not previously exhibited in a DAA Show. A registration form must be submitted at time of artwork
delivery. All artwork must be delivered properly, securely framed. No clip-on frames or saw-tooth hangers, please. All works must be ready to hang including a wire. Should the number of entries exceed our gallery space, artists will be notified of their status by phone or e-mail by end of day, Friday, September 26. Work not accepted can be picked up during regular office hours: Monday - Friday, 10am - 4pm. Accepted artwork can be picked up beginning November 3 between 10am and 4pm.
Fee & Sales:
A non-refundable entry fee of $5 per piece for current DAA members and $15 per piece for non-DAA members will be charged. Membership can be updated at the time of registration. Artwork need not be listed for sale; however, if a selling price is listed on the registration form, the Duxbury Art Association retains a 40% commission on all artwork sold in the Bengtz and Cutler Galleries.
Liability:
All due care will be exercised in handling the works submitted. The artist is responsible for secure framing and suspension. The Duxbury Art Association will not be responsible for work left after the pick-up date(s). Artwork left over 30 days will become the property of the Duxbury Art Association.
