Classes & Workshops

Classes and workshops for adults and children run throughout the year in the DAA studios. Over 800 students participate in our classes annually. From beginner and advanced classes in watercolor and oil painting to exploring clay, the DAA offers something to spark the creativity in everyone.

The DAA also periodically invites well known artists such as Frank Webb, Tony van Hasselt, Charles Sovek, Paul George and Elizabeth Pratt to conduct special workshops.

Summer Fun is a visual arts program where children can stretch their imaginations, learn
new skills and make new friends. Each week a new theme is explored with activities that incorporate arts and crafts, playground time and a gallery show at the end of the week. 

Snow Cancellation Policy
Classes will be cancelled when the Duxbury Public Schools are closed. The DAA may postpone a class or workshop due to weather warnings or reports. Any cancelled workshop or class due to weather will be added to the end of the semester.
