Katherine Smit is a distinguished portrait and watercolor artist who has influenced the South Shore art scene for more than 25 years. She is a current board member and former president of the Duxbury Art Association. She is also a member of the National Watercolor Society, Copley Society, Scituate Art Association, Pembroke Art Association, and the Pastel Society of America. She has won numerous prizes and taught for many years at the DAA, Fuller Museum, South Shore Center for the Arts and North River Art Society.
