2004 Annual Report
Dear Members and Friends,
It's been an exciting and busy year at the DAA. Thanks to your past support and the dedication of our volunteers, instructors, staff and board members, the Duxbury Art Association has continued to grow in many areas. In 2004 we had a number of accomplishments that we could not have done without you. |
- New classes and workshops by renowned artists, authors and instructors in watercolor, pastel and oil mediums as well as clay.
- The first ever Cork and Canvas wine tasting combining the appreciation of fine wines and fine art.
- An impressive series of themed gallery shows including Under the Tuscan Sun, Photography Invitational, Creative Cultivations and Winter Works.
- The second annual Wet Paint Event featuring artwork from over 70 talented artists who tolerated record rainfall and still created beautiful artwork for the silent auction.
- November's Craft Show & Sale attracting twice as many visitors and showcasing the talents of over 75 gifted artisans and crafters.
- The Great Pumpkin Workshop event and Gallery at the Ellison Center continuing to grow and expand as a popular and creative hit with artists of all ages.
- A new dynamic website highlights our class offerings, events, gallery exhibitions and prospectus’ for upcoming exhibitions with daily updates.
- A new member database that greatly improves our ability to track our members, students, instructors, artists and donors.
